Bombay Beach Institute website hero: 10 years of making art at the end of the world

## context

The Bombay Beach Institute is the year-round cultural organization that grew out of the Biennale. It needed a home that works as both an introduction and a fundraising tool.

## challenge

The site had to tell a ten-year origin story, show a $250,000 non-commercial budget transparently, walk through a timeline and profile a large team, all without reading like a pitch deck.

## what i built

A single long-form scroll in chapters (Mission, Scope, Budget, Origin, Timeline, Impact, Team, Support) with fixed navigation so funders can jump to what they care about.

## approach & trade-offs

Dense sections (budget, timeline, impact) are scannable card grids that stay legible on phones. Desert-dark visuals, a light mode for reading, and an accent color taken from the Salton Sea landscape.

## outcome

A fast, responsive single-page site that works as both an introduction and a fundraising tool.
